These chicken thighs go well with a side of celery sticks and light ranch dressing. After breezermom's helpful review, i changed the heat to cook the chicken in the skillet from medium high to medium. The medium high heat is too low for me, but my oven is old and the burners probably aren't as hot as newer stoves.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose Flour
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Ground Red Pepper
  • Chicken Thighs
  • Olive Oil
  • Hot Sauce
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f
  2. Combine first four ingredients in a heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag
  3. Seal
  4. Shake to blend
  5. Add half of chicken to bag
  6. Seal
  7. Shake to coat
  8. Remove chicken from bag, shaking to remove excess flour mixture
  9. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
  10. Add 1 1 / 2 teaspoons oil to pan
  11. Swirl to coat
  12. Add flour-coated chicken to pan
  13. Saute 4 minutes on each side or until browned
  14. Transfer browned chicken to a jelly-roll pan
  15. Repeat procedure with the remaining uncooked chicken, flour mixture, and oil
  16. Discard remaining flour mixture
  17. Bake chicken at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until done
  18. Combine hot sauce and butter in microwave-safe dish
  19. Microwave at high for 30 seconds or until butter melts, stirring to blend
  20. Place chicken in a shallow dish
  21. Drizzle with butter sauce
  22. Toss to coat
