Tasty marinated flank steak for grilling or broiling.

Ingredients

  • Flank Steaks
  • Garlic Clove
  • Mustard Powder
  • Jack Daniels Whiskey
  • Canola Oil

Instructions

  1. Score the flank steak with a sharp knife, about 1 / 8-inch deep, in a diamond pattern
  2. Set aside
  3. Mash the garlic with the mustard
  4. Stir in the whiskey and oil
  5. Place steak in a zipper type plastic freezer bag
  6. Pour mixture over the steak and refrigerate overnight
  7. Set out at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking
  8. Remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade
  9. Grill, using charcoal or gas grill
  10. Cook over high heat 3 to 5 minutes per side
  11. Heat reserved marinade in small pan to a boil
  12. Slice the steak by cutting across the grain into 1 / 4-inch thick slices
  13. Serve with heated marinade as a sauce
