I found this recipe 20 years ago in my mom's recipe box. It was a very old newspaper clipping, but i don't recall her ever making them. I updated it a bit and baked a cookie that my friend named by saying,
Ingredients
- Butter
- Dark Brown Sugar
- Granulated Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Baking Powder
- All-purpose Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Toffee Pieces
- Coconut
- Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- Pecans
Instructions
- Cream butter until fluffy
- Add the sugars slowly and beat well
- Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well
- On a sheet of waxed paper thoroughly combine the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt
- Add to the butter mix, stirring just until blended
- Stir in toffee bits, coconut, chips, and pecans
- Drop the dough by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets
- Bake 10-12 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven until lightly brown around the edges
- Let them cool on the sheets a bit before removing to wire racks
