I got this off the hershey's website and made a few small changes to make it milk free (parve). I never have left overs.

Ingredients

  • Pie Shells
  • Sugar
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Egg Yolks
  • Soymilk
  • Margarine
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Whipped Topping

Instructions

  1. Bake pie shell
  2. Cool
  3. Stir together sugar, cornstarch and salt in 2 quart saucepan
  4. Combine egg yolks and milk in container with pouring spout
  5. Gradually blend milk mixture into sugar mixture
  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil
  7. Boil and stir 1 minute
  8. Remove from heat
  9. Stir in butter and vanilla
  10. Add 1-3 / 4 cups chocolate chips
  11. Stir until chips are melted and mixture is well blended
  12. Pour into prepared pie shell
  13. Press plastic wrap onto filling
  14. Cool
  15. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled and firm
  16. Garnish with whipped topping and remaining chocolate chips, if desired
