Golden Lemon Bread

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar
2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
3. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt
4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk
5. Pour into a greased 9-in
6. X 5-in
7. Loaf pan
8. Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
9. Place pan on a wire rack
10. Check around 45-50 min
11. Combine the glaze ingredients
12. Immediately pour over warm bread
13. Cool completely before removing from pan
