Golden Bacardi Rum Cake

A delicious cake that i know you will love, and is quite simple to make, the glaze is so delicious!! Make extra glaze, keep warm in small crock pot (not boiling). People love it and want extra on their servings.

A delicious cake that i know you will love, and is quite simple to make, the glaze is so delicious!! Make extra glaze, keep warm in small crock pot (not boiling). People love it and want extra on their servings.

Ingredients

  • Pecans
  • Yellow Cake Mix With Pudding
  • Eggs
  • Cold Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Bacardi Dark Rum
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Cake: preheat oven to 325f grease and flour 10-inch tube or 12-cup bundt pan
  2. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan
  3. Mix together cake mix, eggs, 1 / 2 cup water, oil, and 1 / 2 cup rum
  4. Pour batter over nuts
  5. Bake 1 hour
  6. Cool
  7. Invert on serving plate
  8. Prick top
  9. Spoon and brush glaze evenly over top and sides
  10. Allow cake to absorb glaze
  11. Repeat until glaze is used up
  12. Glaze: melt butter in medium sauce pan
  13. Stir in 1 / 4 cup water and sugar
  14. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly
  15. Remove from heat
  16. Stir in 1 / 2 cup rum
  17. To prick top and sides, use something long that will go almost to the bottom of the cake
  18. Remember to do the outside and inside at an angle so the glaze goes in all the way
