Fresh Tuna Steaks With Lemon

This is from one of the mediterranean cooking cards that my partner, chef1mom sent me in the cookbook swap. The picture is beautiful, and the combination of ingredients cannot miss.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Parsley
  • Garlic Clove
  • Lemons
  • Dry White Wine
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Fresh Tuna
  • Salt And Pepper
  • Lemon
  • Parsley

Instructions

  1. Wash parsley and pat dry with paper towels
  2. Mince parsley with peeled garlic
  3. Wash and dry whole lemon, grate half the zest
  4. Peel rest of rind and discard it
  5. Slice lemon thinly
  6. Squeeze lemon half
  7. Add juice, a pinch of salt and pepper, to a bowl
  8. Stir until seasonings have dissolved
  9. Add wine, oil, parsley and garlic mixture, and grated lemon peel
  10. Beat with fork until well blended
  11. Wash and dry tuna
  12. Arrange in saute or large omelet pan
  13. Pour sauce over tuna and cover with lemon slices
  14. Cook fish over high heat for 7-8 minutes,
  15. Remove lemon slices and turn fish over
  16. Cook for another 2 minutes
  17. Slice remaing lemon
  18. Arrange tuna on serving plate
  19. Drizzle with cooking juices
  20. Decorate with uncooked lemon slices and sprigs of parsley
  21. Serve hot or at room temperature
