- Butter
- Cocoa
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Sugar
- Flour
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Nuts
- Cream Cheese
- Powdered Sugar
- Water
- Miniature Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Line a 9×13 pan with foil and grease the foil
- Melt the butter in a saucepan
- Remove from heat
- Stir in cocoa until smooth
- In a medium bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy
- Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to egg mixture
- Add cocoa mixture and vanilla
- Beat until smooth and add the nuts
- Spread into the pan
- Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched in the center
- Cool completely
- Make filling mixture: beat softened cream cheese, softened butter, vanilla in a bowl
- Gradually add powdered sugar until of spreading consistency
- Make glaze mixture: heat 1 / 4 cup sugar and 2 tbs water in a small saucepan until boiling
- Remove from head and add chocolate mini chips
- Stir until melted
- Cut cooled brownie in half crosswise
- Spread bottom half of brownie with creamy filling
- Top with the top half of the brownie
- Spread glaze over top
- Cut into bars after glaze has set
