Cream Cheese French Toast Bake

Delicious served with bacon or sausage, coffee and orange juice. Allow to refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Delicious served with bacon or sausage, coffee and orange juice. Allow to refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Ingredients

  • French Bread
  • Cream Cheese With Pineapple
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Amaretto
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Slice french bread into 24 slices
  2. Spray 13×9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray
  3. Spread about 1 tablespoon cream cheese on each of 12 slices of bread
  4. Top with remaining bread slices to make 12 sandwiches
  5. Place sandwiches in baking dish to cover bottom
  6. In medium bowl, beat eggs, milk, 1 / 4 cup of the sugar, the salt and cinnamon with wire whisk until well blended
  7. Pour over bread in baking dish
  8. Let stand 5 minutes
  9. Turn sandwiches over
  10. Cover
  11. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight
  12. Chop 1 cup of the strawberries
  13. Refrigerate remaining berries
  14. In nonmetal bowl, gently stir chopped strawberries, remaining 1 / 2 cup sugar and the amaretto to mix
  15. Cover, refrigerate 8 hours or overnight
  16. Heat oven to 400
  17. Drizzle melted butter over bread in dish
  18. Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown
  19. Meanwhile, slice remaining strawberries
  20. Stir into chilled strawberry mixture
  21. Serve french toast with strawberry topping
