I had some leftover easter ham and had some frozen broccoli in the freezer, so
i based this recipe on chef lorac's recipe #39087 (please try this when you get a chance its great). Be careful with this, it starts out as wonderfully mild sauce, but it sneaks up on you with the heat (at least it does for me 🙂 submitted on april 19th 2006.

Ingredients

  • Cooked Ham
  • Angel Hair Pasta
  • Frozen Chopped Broccoli
  • Cajun Seasoning
  • Margarine
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Salt
  • Dried Basil
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of water, add broccoli and pasta
  2. Cook until pasta is at desired doneness
  3. Drain and keep warm
  4. In a large skillet, melt margarine
  5. Add ham and cajun seasoning
  6. Stir until ham is well coated
  7. Lower heat and add rest of ingredients except grated parmesan cheese
  8. Heat through
  9. Pour over pasta and broccoli
  10. Sprinkle with cheese and toss until pasta is coated
