Ingredients

  • Medium Noodles
  • Starkist Tuna
  • Margarine
  • Italian Style Breadcrumbs
  • French Style Green Beans
  • Fresh Mushrooms
  • Onion
  • Green Pepper
  • Celery
  • Diced Pimento
  • Instant Chicken Bouillon Granules
  • Garlic
  • Nonfat Milk
  • Cornstarch
  • American Cheese
  • Water
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions
  2. Drain and set aside
  3. Toss the bread crumbs with margarine or butter
  4. Set aside
  5. In a large saucepan combine frozen green beans, mushrooms, green or red pepper, onion, celery, water, bouillon granules, and garlic
  6. Bring to boiling
  7. Reduce heat
  8. Cover
  9. Simmer about 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender
  10. Meanwhile, stir together milk, cornstarch, and mustard
  11. Stir into vegetable mixture
  12. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly
  13. Remove from heat, then stir in cheese until melted
  14. Stir in noodles and tuna
  15. Spoon mixture into a 2-quart casserole
  16. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture around outside edge of casserole
  17. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree f
  18. Oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until bread crumbs are golden
  19. Makes 6 servings
