Macaroni Cheese My Way

I love mac & cheese. So i created it just the way i like it. Hope you like it too. You can cut the prep time in half if you grate and cut up the cheese the day before.

Ingredients

  • Elbow Macaroni
  • Kraft Macaroni And Cheese
  • Butter
  • Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Colby Cheese
  • Monterey Jack Cheese
  • Velveeta Cheese
  • Celery Salt
  • Onion Powder
  • Eggs
  • Vegetable Seasoning
  • Salt And Pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni about 3 minute less than the package directions
  2. While the macaroni is cooking:
  3. Grate about 2 ounce each of colby, monterey jack and half of the cheddar
  4. Cut rest of the blocks into medium cubes
  5. Slice the velveeta
  6. Set aside 1 / 2 cup of grated cheese to mix with bread crumbs
  7. Drain macaroni
  8. Put butter, milk, grated cheese, celery salt, onion powder, salt, pepper, vegetable seasoning, cheese sauce in can and sliced velveeta in a large saucepan
  9. Heat on low heat until cheeses are creamy
  10. Put hot macaroni in large bowl
  11. Add sauce, mix well
  12. Add beaten eggs and mix well
  13. Add cheese cubes
  14. The cheese cubes will not melt completely
  15. Add more milk if needed
  16. Mix thorougly
  17. Adjust seasoning if necessary
  18. Pour into large baking dish
  19. Mix remaining grated cheese and 1 / 3 cup bread crumbs together
  20. Sprinkle on top of mac and cheese
  21. Drizzle 2 tablespoons melted butter on top of grated cheese and bread crumbs
  22. Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes
  23. Put under broiler to lightly brown the bread crumbs on top
  24. Let set 15 minutes before serving
