I made this for the first time in 1977. It's been a favorite ever since. The good thing about this dish is there is no recipe. I ask for meat and cheese ends at my area grocery store so no two salads are ever the same!!!

Ingredients

  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Cucumber
  • Broccoli
  • Hard-boiled Eggs
  • Ravioli
  • Ham
  • Turkey
  • Hard Cheese
  • Salami
  • Olive
  • Marinated Artichoke Hearts
  • Hot Pepper
  • Roasted Peppers
  • Chickpeas
  • Bacon Bits
  • Crouton
  • Italian Dressing

Instructions

  1. Hard boil an egg for each person
  2. Cook mini ravioli
  3. Refrigerate eggs and ravioli
  4. In a large salad bowl:
  5. Start with the lettuce, add all the vegtables, toss lightly
  6. Chunk meat and cheese ends add to salad bowl, ravioli, toss lightly
  7. Top with olives, artichoke hearts
  8. Croutons etc
  9. I keep the eggs whole
  10. I let my family and guests put on their own dressing
  11. A little secret: do a some prep work, cook eggs and ravoli, cut vegtables, meats and cheeses, in plastic bags store in refrigerator
  12. Toss together and serve
