Hot And Spicy Vegetables

Cooking light. This isn’t hot so that a fire-breather would notice, but it is hot enough for me.

Ingredients

  • Cornstarch
  • Sugar
  • Dry Crushed Red Pepper
  • Water
  • Fresh Broccoli
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Onion
  • Carrots
  • Fresh Mushrooms

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients
  2. Set aside
  3. Separate broccoli in to flowerets
  4. Cut stalks into -inch slices
  5. Set aside
  6. Heat oil in a wok or large nonstick skillet at medium-high heat until hot
  7. Add in onion
  8. Stir-fry 2 minutes
  9. Add in broccoli and carrot
  10. Stir-fry until crisp-tender
  11. Add in mushrooms
  12. Stir-fry 2 minutes
  13. Stir in cornstarch mixture
  14. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened
