Healthy gluten, dairy and egg free breakfast bars. This recipe was given to me by a friend.

Ingredients

  • Oats
  • Nuts
  • Raisins
  • Margarine
  • Brown Sugar
  • Honey
  • Salt
  • Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Toast oats by spreading on a cookie sheet or large baking pan
  2. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned
  3. This gives the oats a nutty flavor and helps the mixture stick together better
  4. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl with a wooden spoon
  5. Press into well-greased 15×10 inch jelly roll pan
  6. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes
  7. Cool and cut into bars when cool
  8. Variations: substitute chocolate chips for raisins
  9. Add 1 / 2 cup coconut
  10. Substitute 1 / 2 cup sunflower seeds for the nuts
