German Style Pickled Eggs

Description

These are great with a beer.

Ingredients

  • Cider Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Prepared Mustard
  • Salt
  • Celery Seed
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Whole Cloves
  • Onions
  • Hard-boiled Eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the first eight ingredients
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat
  4. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes
  5. Cool completely
  6. Place onions and eggs in a large jar
  7. Add enough vinegar mixture to completely cover
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight
  9. Use a clean spoon each time you remove eggs for serving
  10. May be refrigerated for up to 1 week
