For the garlic lover. This is great served with a side salad, french bread and for the true garlic lover, a head of baked garlic to spread on the bread. The combination of red and green peppers makes for a nice presentation.

Ingredients

  • Boneless Beef Round Steak
  • Olive Oil
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Salt
  • Fresh Ground Pepper
  • Green Pepper
  • Red Pepper
  • Dry Red Wine
  • Cornstarch
  • Beef Broth
  • Noodles

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from the beef
  2. Cut with grain into 2-inch strips
  3. Cut strips diagonally across the grain into 1 / 4-inch slices
  4. Heat the olive oil in nonstick skillet
  5. Add onion, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper
  6. Cook and stir over medium-high heat about 3 minutes or until onion is tender
  7. Stir in the meat and bell peppers, cook and stir about 4 minutes or until beef is no longer pink
  8. Stir in wine
  9. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes
  10. Stir cornstarch into beef broth until disolved
  11. Add to beef mixture
  12. Cook and stir over medium high heat until thickened
  13. Serve over noodles
