Flourless Chocolate Heart Cake

Ingredients

  • Unsalted Butter
  • Eggs
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • Whole Milk
  • Salt
  • Heavy Cream
  • Bittersweet Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Butter two 8-inch heart shaped pans
  3. Coat the pans with cocoa powder
  4. Separate the eggs into two bowls
  5. Add sugar to the bowl with the yolks and beat well
  6. Sift in the cocoa powder
  7. Beat together
  8. Add enough milk to get it smooth but not runny
  9. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff
  10. Take a small quantity and stir into the chocolate mixture
  11. Gently fold in the rest
  12. Pour into the prepared cake pans
  13. Bake 20-30 minutes
  14. Let cool
  15. In a saucepan, boil 1 / 2 cup and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream
  16. Remove from the stove and add the chocolate
  17. Stir well
  18. Whip in the rest of the cream into soft peaks then fold into the chocolate mixture
  19. Put the mousse between the two stacked flourless chocolate heart cakes and on the top
  20. Keep refrigerated
