Ingredients

  • Flank Steak
  • Salt
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • Shallot
  • Mushrooms
  • Water
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Nonfat Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler
  2. Sprinkle steak evenly with salt and pepper
  3. Place steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray
  4. Broil 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness
  5. Let stand 10 minutes
  6. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
  7. Coat pan with cooking spray
  8. Add shallots to pan
  9. Cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally
  10. Add mushrooms to pan
  11. Cover and cook 4 minutes or until mushrooms are tender, stirring occasionally
  12. Stir in 1 / 3 cup water, mustard, worcestershire, and thyme
  13. Cover and cook 2 minutes
  14. Remove from heat
  15. Stir in sour cream
  16. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices
  17. Serve with mushroom sauce
