Finnish Salmon Potato Chowder

Ingredients

  • Butter
  • Onions
  • Celery Salt
  • All-purpose Flour
  • Clam Juice
  • Baking Potatoes
  • Carrots
  • 1% Low-fat Milk
  • Salmon
  • Fresh Dill
  • Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a dutch oven over medium heat
  2. Add chopped onion, and saut for 5 minutes
  3. Sprinkle onion mixture with celery salt
  4. Stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly
  5. Gradually add clam juice
  6. Bring mixture to a boil, and cook for 1 minute or until thick, stirring constantly
  7. Add potato cubes and carrot slices, and stir in milk
  8. Bring to a boil
  9. Reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes
  10. Break salmon into chunks
  11. Add salmon, chopped dill, and worcestershire sauce to pan
  12. Bring chowder to a boil
  13. Reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes or until potato is tender
