Saw this recipe in magazine, true! Another one that jumped out at me too, versatile, easy to do, can substitute ground beef or chicken, true! Hope you'll try it, let us all know, is it a keeper? Hope someone will say so!

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Ground Cumin
  • Ground Coriander
  • Lean Ground Lamb
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Phyllo Pastry
  • Plain Yogurt
  • Mint Sauce
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 c
  2. Line tray with baking paper
  3. Heat oil in pan, add onion and cook until soft
  4. Add garlic, cumin and coriander
  5. Stir for about 30 seconds
  6. Add ground lamb, and increase heat to high
  7. Cook until meat is browned
  8. Peel and grate kumera / sweet potato and add
  9. Cook for about 10 minutes
  10. Cool
  11. Divide mixture into 8 portions and place a sheet of filo onto a clean surface
  12. Spray filo with cooking oil
  13. Place 1 portion of lamb and fold filo pastry in half to form a triangle
  14. Continue folding to form a triangle
  15. Repeat same with all 8 portions
  16. Place triangles in tray and spray with oil
  17. Bake about 20 minutes until golden brown
  18. Combine yogurt and mint sauce with yoghurt sauce
  19. Serve with traingles and
