My grandma elsie's molasses cookies that have the german nickname "schpücker" – because they reportedly make you "spit black" 🙂
we just like dunking them in coffee.
Ingredients
- Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Dark Molasses
- Salt
- Baking Soda
- Flour
- Cinnamon
- Clove
Instructions
- Mix butter, sugar, eggs and molasses together in a bowl
- Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves
- Stir in flour
- Roll into balls
- Roll the balls in sugar and place on cookie sheets
- Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until edges brown
