This is a very simple dish and so satisfying. I could not find it posted.
I serve with any meat or fish along with peas and colslaw. I have been cooking this dish for years and made it tonight to serve with tuna loaf.

Ingredients

  • Wide Egg Noodles
  • Butter
  • Evaporated Milk
  • Salt
  • White Pepper
  • Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles as directed on package but take off before being soft, almost cooked
  2. Cook about 7 minutes when the water is boiling
  3. Drain but do not rinse
  4. Preheat oven 375
  5. Heat a round microwaveable baking dish in the microwave for 1 minute
  6. Place butter in the dish and the noodles on top
  7. Stir around until the noodles are coated with butter
  8. Add salt and stir again
  9. Pour milk all over the noodles
  10. Stir until all are covered
  11. Cover the dish with lid or foil
  12. Stir twice while cooking
  13. Bake 20 minutes
  14. The noodles will absorb the milk and butter and be bigger and fluffier
