Easy Cinnamon Rolls

My kids love these. I make them with lowfat crescent rolls and light butter. They take less time than 15 minutes in my oven, but it tends to run hot.

My kids love these. I make them with lowfat crescent rolls and light butter. They take less time than 15 minutes in my oven, but it tends to run hot.

Ingredients

  • Crescent Roll Dough
  • Butter
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Orange Juice

Instructions

  1. Unroll dough — do not separate
  2. Press perforations to seal
  3. Brush dough with melted butter
  4. In a small bowl combine the cinnamon and granulated sugar
  5. Sprinkle over dough
  6. Starting from the long side, roll up the dough
  7. Using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss, slice dough into 1 1 / 2-inch pieces
  8. Arrange pieces, cut sides up, in a greased 8×1 1 / 2-inch round baking pan, flattening each roll slightly
  9. Bake 15-18 minutes or unl golden at 375 degrees
  10. Remove and cool rolls slightly in pan on a wire rack
  11. Remove from pan
  12. In a small bowl, stir together powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough juice to make an icing of drizzling consistency
  13. Drizzle over warm rolls
