This is a unique recipe from a very old cookbook that belongs to my mother.i enjoy glancing through them.one and a while you find something totally unique you just have to share! This sounds very easy and yummy! I hope you agree!
Ingredients
- Unsweetened Chocolate Square
- Butter
- Milk
- Sugar
- Egg Yolks
- Soft Breadcrumbs
- Sliced Almonds
- Salt
- Egg Whites
Instructions
- In the top of double boiler, melt the chocolate
- Add in the bread crumbs, almonds and salt
- Combine well
- Fold in the 4 stiffly beaten egg whites
- Cover, steam in double boiler for 25 minutes
- This can be served warm, or chilled, with whipped cream if desired
