Description
This is a healthier version of our favorite banana bread recipe. It has very little fat yet still moist and light. The maple syrup also adds a nice depth of flavor. I use white whole wheat which is lighter, milder and less dense than regular whole wheat and would recommend it for this recipe. King arthur flour carries it.
Ingredients
- Honey
- Real Maple Syrup
- Vanilla
- Eggs
- Bananas
- Milk
- Whole Wheat Flour
- Ground Flax Seeds
- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Salt
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350f
- Stir together all the wet ingredients in a large bowl
- In a smaller bowl stir together the dry ingredients
- Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until basically smooth
- Pour batter into a well greased loaf pan and place into the oven to bake for 50-60 min or until tooth pick comes out fairly clean
