Crock Pot Orange Glazed Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • Beef Short Ribs
  • Orange
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  • Water
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Pepper
  • Cornstarch
  • Dark Sesame Oil
  • Slivered Almonds

Instructions

  1. With vegetable peeler, remove three 2 x 1-inch strips of peel from orange
  2. Set aside
  3. Squeeze 1 / 2 cup juice from orange
  4. Cover and refrigerate
  5. In small bowl, combine orange peel, teriyaki sauce, water, garlic and pepper
  6. In crock pot, place beef short ribs
  7. Pour teriyaki mixture over short ribs
  8. Cover and cook on low 7-1 / 2 to 8-1 / 2 hours or until ribs are tender
  9. Remove ribs from cooking liquid
  10. Keep warm
  11. To make glaze, strain cooking liquid
  12. Skim fat
  13. In small saucepan, combine 1 cup cooking liquid, reserved orange juice, cornstarch mixture and sesame oil
  14. Bring to a boil
  15. Cook and stir 1 minute until thickened
