Ingredients

  • White Pearl Onions
  • Butter
  • Ground Cloves
  • Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil onions by heating several inches of salted water to boiling
  2. Add onions
  3. Cover and heat to boiling
  4. Cook until tender – 15 to 20 minutes for small onions
  5. Drain
  6. In medium skillet, melt butter with cloves over medium heat, stirring occasionally
  7. Add onions
  8. Stir gently until coated
  9. Sprinkle brown sugar over onions
  10. Cook, turning frequently, about 5 minutes or until golden and glazed
