Description
I found this recipe in an old cook book and had one ripe banana on hand. I made them for a neighbor who had surgery and had a hard time giving them away because they are so delicious.
Ingredients
- All-purpose Flour
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Margarine
- Granulated Sugar
- Light Brown Sugar
- Banana
- Egg
- Vanilla
- Milk Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375f
- Lightly grease cookie sheets
- Place flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl
- Stir to combine
- Beat butter and sugars in a large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy
- Beat in banana, egg and vanilla
- Add flour mixture
- Beat at low speed until well blended
- Stir in chocolate chips
- Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets
- Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown
- Let cookies stand on cookie sheets 2 minutes
- Remove cookies to wire racks, cool completely
- Store tightly covered at room temperature
