Chile Bourbon Steak Marinade

Gives a great flavor to steaks, also is great on chicken.

Ingredients

  • Serrano Peppers
  • Ancho Chili
  • Dried Onion Flakes
  • Dried Oregano
  • Bourbon
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • White Wine Vinegar
  • Garlic

Instructions

  1. Soak ancho chiles in warm water for 30 minutes or until soft
  2. Remove from water saving 1 / 2 cup of liquid
  3. Remove stems and seeds and discard
  4. Then chop anchos into small pieces
  5. Combine all remaining ingredients and the reserved 1 / 2 cup of liquid
  6. Place marinade over steaks for up to 12 hours
  7. After marinating, bring steaks to room temperature, remove from marinade, pat dry with paper toweling, and prepare as desired
  8. Makes about 1 cup of marinade, enough for several steaks
