Take an ordinary package of green beans and turns it into an easy, elegant, side dish.

Ingredients

  • Frozen Green Beans
  • Cornstarch
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Onion
  • Garlic Clove
  • Ground Cumin
  • Tomatoes
  • Salt And Pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook green beans according to package directions
  2. Drain
  3. Dissolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl
  4. Set aside
  5. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat
  6. Add onion and garlic
  7. Cook, stirring frequently, 3 minutes or until onion is tender
  8. Sprinkle with cumin
  9. Cook and stir, 1 minute
  10. Reduce heat to medium-low
  11. Stir cornstarch mixture and add to skillet along with reserved tomato liquid
  12. Cook and stir, until mixture is thick and bubbly
  13. Then add tomatoes and green beans
  14. Continue to cook and stir until mixture is heated through
  15. Add salt and pepper to taste
