Beef With Ginger

Ingredients

  • Sirloin Steak
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh Ginger
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Garlic
  • Light Soy Sauce
  • Reduced-sodium Fat-free Beef Broth
  • Cornstarch
  • Green Onions
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • Cooked Long-grain Rice

Instructions

  1. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into very thin slices
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  3. Saut ginger in hot oil a large nonstick skillet over high heat 2 minutes or until tan-colored
  4. Add minced garlic, and saut 30 seconds
  5. Add beef
  6. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly
  7. Stir in soy sauce
  8. Stir together beef broth and cornstarch
  9. Until smooth
  10. Drizzle over beef mixture
  11. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until thickened
  12. Add green onions, and, if desired, crushed red pepper
  13. Cook 1 minute
  14. Serve immediately over hot cooked rice
