Beef And Broccoli With Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

  • Beef Sirloin Steak
  • Cornstarch
  • Sesame Oil
  • Low Sodium Chicken Broth
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Broccoli
  • Carrot
  • Onions
  • Bok Choy
  • Yellow Bell Pepper
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Gingerroot
  • Fish Sauce
  • Water Chestnut
  • Soy Sauce
  • Rice

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from beef steak
  2. Cut beef lengthwise into 2 inch strips, and each strip cut crosswise into 1 / 8 inch slices
  3. In cup, mix cornstarch, sesame oil and broth, set aside
  4. Heat 12 inch skillet or wok until very hot
  5. Add vegetable oil
  6. Rotate skillet to coat bottom
  7. Add beef
  8. Stir fry 2 minutes or until beef is brown
  9. Remove beef from skillet
  10. Keep skillet hot
  11. Add broccoli, carrots, onion, and bok choy and saute for 3 minutes, add yellow pepper, and saute for 1 more minute
  12. Add pepper, garlic, ginger, and fish sauce
  13. Stir fry 30 seconds
  14. Add water chestnuts
  15. Stir fry 1 minute
  16. Stir in beef
  17. Stir in cornstarch mixture
  18. Cook and stir 15 seconds or until thickened
  19. Taste test for soy sauce
  20. Serve over rice
