Ingredients

  • Bread Flour
  • Sugar
  • Fast Rise Yeast
  • Salt
  • Baking Soda
  • Buttermilk
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Warm Water
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1-1 / 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, salt, baking powder, and baking soda
  2. Add the buttermilk, oil and water
  3. Beat until moistened
  4. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough
  5. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 4-6 minutes
  6. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes
  7. Roll out to a 1 / 2-inch thickness
  8. Cut with a 2-1 / 2-in
  9. Biscuit cutter
  10. Place on a greased baking sheet
  11. Bake at 400 for 15-18 minutes or until golden
  12. Brush tops with butter
  13. Yields 14 rolls
