Ingredients

  • Pinto Beans
  • Water
  • Onion
  • Bell Pepper
  • Tomatoes
  • Honey
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • Sweet Basil
  • Bay Leaf
  • Garlic Clove
  • Cumin
  • Veggie Burgers

Instructions

  1. Wash and sort beans
  2. Place in 4 quart kettle and add very hot water
  3. Let stand for two hours or more
  4. Drain off water and add hot water again, enough to cover beans
  5. Add tomatoes, onions, bell pepper and seasonings
  6. Bring to boil, then turn heat to lowest setting and cook about 2 hours or until beans are tender
  7. Add vegetarian burger and cook until heated through
