Ingredients

  • Dried Split Peas
  • Cold Water
  • Beer
  • Ham Bone
  • Onion
  • Celery Ribs
  • Salt And Pepper

Instructions

  1. Pick over peas and soak overnight
  2. Drain
  3. Add remaining ingredients, except seasonings
  4. Simmer 3 to 4 hours or until soft
  5. Remove bone and celery, rub through a sieve and season
  6. If soup is too thick add boiling water
