Ingredients

  • Pam Cooking Spray
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Capers
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • Ziti Pasta
  • Pecorino Romano Cheese
  • Fresh Flat-leaf Parsley

Instructions

  1. Place an oven rack in the center of the oven
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees f
  3. Butter an 8-by-8-inch glass baking dish
  4. Set aside
  5. Place the tomatoes, capers, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 / 2 teaspoon salt, and 1 / 4 teaspoon pepper in the prepared baking dish
  6. Toss to coat
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the tomato mixture
  8. Drizzle the top with olive oil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden
  9. Cool for 5 minutes
  10. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat
  11. Add the pasta and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 8 to 10 minutes
  12. Drain and reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water
  13. Place the pasta in a large serving bowl
  14. Spoon the tomato mixture onto the pasta
  15. Add the cheese and toss well
  16. Thin out the sauce with a little pasta water, if needed
  17. Season with salt and pepper, to taste
  18. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and serve immediately
